What We Do
Among poverty stricken
families in Kenya, children feel the brunt of extreme poverty.
For Child's Hope Canada believes in
targeting vulnerable children from extremely poor families with
a view to changing their
circumstances.
For Child's Hope Canada works closely with the high
schools and communities in Kenya to identify children who have
been suspended from school for more than 3 months for lack of
fees for tuition and other educational services. For children
who have been out of school for more than 6 months, chances are
the children are likely to drop out of school completely, thus
dimming their hope to proceed with their education.
For Child's Hope Canada believes
that placement of vulnerable children
in good schools is more likely to eradicate poverty in their
lives. This can be accomplished through providing quality
education, good nutrition and sufficient healthcare provision.
We believe that these important provisions in a child's life
will expand the opportunities in the lives of these children,
who will in turn gain the capacity support their siblings and
families in later life.
Currently,
For Child's Hope Canada has
partnered with 3 high schools in Kenya that are providing a
second chance to students who have been out of school for over
six months.
Accountability
For Child's Hope Canada
is committed to integrity. The organization's management and
leadership are overseen by a Board of Directors. The secretariat
provides the Board with quarterly accountability reports.
